Walk along winding river valleys, cycle the limestone plateaux of the Causses de Quercy Natural Park, canoe along the leisurely Lot River as it meanders gracefully through the noble Cahors vineyards terraced on its banks. Day 1 Gourdon (D)
Arrive in Gourdon no later than 4 pm.
Day 2 Labastide (B, D)
Collect your bikes and cycle around the village of Labastide and the limestone plateau and country lanes of Causses de Quercy Natural Park.
Day 3 Rocamadour (B, D)
Walk along the valley of the Alzou Gorge from Lacave to stunning Rocamadour. Visit the famous Sanctuary of Rocamadour perched on top of a cliff above the river before returning to Frayssinet Village in plenty of time for relaxation.
Day 4 Bouzies (B, D)
Set off southwards in the morning to the village of Bouzies. Follow the dramatic cliff-side path, past the pigeonnier (dovecote) into the village square of the stunning village of St.Cirq-Lapopie.
Day 5 Caix (B, D)
Wind through the vineyards on a picturesque drive through the wine region. Then hop in a canoe and truly experience the beauty of the district, setting off from Duelle, to follow the gentle meander of the current, past elegant chateaus and lush landscapes.
Day 6 Frayssinet Village (B)
Today is yours to discover this area at your own leisure. Choose from many options such as horseback riding, cave-diving, walks in the local area, visit to a local market or chateau.
Day 7 Dordogne Region (B, D)
Head west into the Dordogne Region to walk near the dramatic Roque Gageac, another of the classified "Most Beautiful Villages of France", huddled at the foot of a cliff on the banks of the river. Head back to Frayssinet Village for a final dinner and drinks with your new found friends.
Day 8 Depart Gourdon (B)
